Carly is an Intimacy Coordinator, Writer, Director, and Mental Health/ Intimacy Counsellor. She is also a trauma-informed Disability Support Worker advocating for inclusive filmmaking, and has nearly 20 years experience as a fierce and committed ally for First Nations storytelling. She offers a lived and nuanced approach to intimacy - including kink BDSM, and energetic power dynamics.

Carly aims to curate consent culture and accessibility-driven creative spaces rooted in somatic safety, and empowerment to produce authentic, juicy storytelling with a concise, grounded, and collaborative spirit. She is excited by stories that disrupt societal narratives, and uplift stigmatised, marginalised voices; and deeply encourages her collaborators whether actors or directors to ask for what they need to do their best work. Her screen + print stories all explore themes of ecology, motherhood, and decolonising sexuality.

Drawing on over two decades experience as a tantra and somatic-trained intimacy therapist for couples, individuals, and actors, Carly leads groups and workshops with a pleasure-positive focus, supporting folk to connect with the power of eros. Finding significant therapeutic and artistic crossover between her intimacy work, and accessibility and mental health work, she is delighted to bring these skills to film and TV sets as a consultant, or cast and crew support.

Carly is based in Northern NSW/SE QLD in a tiny home she built herself with her two children. She is currently a research candidate at Griffith University, exploring intimacy and film.
